The Office of University Ministries at Belmont University is here to walk with, encourage and challenge students in their faith journeys during their formative college years!
We seek to provide BU students with a number of opportunities through which they can grow their faith right here on campus.
Here are some of the ways we look to do that:
Every Wednesday at 10am we will gather together as a campus community to worship, pray, meditate and reflect on God’s word. Chapel hopes to be one of those community unifying experiences that unites us all under the Lordship of Christ as we come together in song and attentive spirit… and you’ll even earn Christian Faith Development convo credit for attending. We hope you will join us for this significant time.
A residence hall-based discipleship ministry based on James 4:8-Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. This ministry has a SLA (Spritual Life Assistant) on every floor of every residence hall. The role of the SLA is to get to know the people living on their floor, build relationships, help foster intentional Christian community in that space, lead a weekly small group and provide pastoral care to students in need. NEAR 48 is a partnership between Residence Life and University Ministries and is a great way to get plugged into the spiritual life on Belmon’t campus. To connect with your SLA, look for the posters hanging up in your residence hall.
Want to know the best way to start getting your community service convo credits? Try INTO Nashville! A monthly opportunity to reach out in ministry and service to our neighbors throughout Nashville and to get several convo credits in the process.
Immersion.immerse yourself in love
Belmont’s Fall and Spring Break mission trip programs. Every immersion is just that – a chance to be immersed in local culture, in the cares and concerns of local folks, and an intense exposure to what God is doing in all over God’s world.
We also want to see students tie into the local church! You can visit our website (www.belmont.edu/universityministries) for a listing of local churches with links to their websites.
If we can assist you with this please let us know.
